ETS to Build New Pavilion Housing Future Calcul Québec Computing Centre

The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, along with Hélène David, Quebec Minister of Higher Education, jointly announced they would be funding the construction of a new pavilion at l’École de technologie supérieure (ETS), that will house Calcul Québec’s future Advanced Research Computing Center. When that center opens, all of Calcul Québec’s hardware will be concentrated in one site. User services will however remain distributed throughout the province on University campuses in order to keep a proximity to the researchers we serve.
The new pavilion will be located behind the existing Maison des étudiants on Notre-Dame street. Calcul Québec is working with ETS to plan the construction of this new facility that will occupy a whole floor of the new pavilion.
