This edition of La Nuit des chercheuses et des chercheurs was sold out, to the great joy of the organizers. A compact and curious crowd strolled through the greenhouses of the Montréal Botanical Garden, passing from one information booth to another and asking questions to the many science specialists present on the site.

“Calcul Québec is proud to be present at La Nuit des chercheuses et des chercheurs. The event allows the next generation to familiarize themselves with scientific research. We brought a host of interesting objects to address the role of computer science in research,” explains Valérie Harvey, Communications Manager at Calcul Québec.

For the occasion, Calcul Québec professionals, including computer analysts and a network administrator, were available to discuss little-known aspects of supercomputers and advanced computing with an audience eager to perfect their knowledge.

Launched in 2019 by Espace pour la vie, La Nuit des chercheuses et des chercheurs was in its 3rd edition this year and extended its reach elsewhere in Québec, thanks to the Musée de la Nature et des Sciences de Sherbrooke and Exploramer

The Québec edition of La Nuit des chercheuses et des chercheurs is inspired by the European Researchers’ Night, an event held in hundreds of cities across Europe.
